John MacArthur – Living in Anticipation of Christ’s Return, Part 1

Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

The Best Things to Live For !!!!! \o/ Revelation 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

The Marriage Supper of The Lamb — Revelation 19:9 – And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

\o/ The Saints Are Happy In Heaven because they followed Christ. They rejoice with Him Forever…..

The Lord is my inheritance and my cup; He alone will give me my reward. The measuring line has marked a lovely place for me, my inheritance is my great delight.

The Rapture – A Crown Given to All Who Love Jesus Appearing!  ::: 2 Timothy4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

The Bema Seat – We will receive a Reward or maybe Rewards and/or a Crown(s) — This judgment may determine our “Glory/Honor/Prestige/Status/Reigning Power/Domain” During the 1,000 Year Millennial Reign of Jesus — We may be judged on everything — Our Faithfulness and Obedience to God, in doing what God has said to do in this Life.  Examples ::: Resist Temptation, Obey, Meekness, Humility, Love, Mercy, Kindness, Fruits of The Spirit (Conduct/Behavior/Decisions) – Loving God with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength, Loving our Neighbor as our self — Evangelism, Parable of The Talents/Minas, Corporal Works of Mercy: Feeding The Poor, Clothing The Naked, Sheltering The Homeless, Visiting the Sick and Imprisoned. (Giving to Ministries that do The Corporal works of Mercy maybe just as good)

The 1,000 Year Millennial Kingdom or Millennial Reign of Jesus — We will be Kings and Priests if we are with Jesus when we leave this life, either by Death or Rapture.

Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation,….

The Millennial Reign is one of the best things to live for in this life, because for a 1,000 Years we will be Kings and Priests !  Depending on our Faithfulness in this life to Jesus, our Works at The Bema Seat may determine how much “Reigning Power” we will have during the Millennium. (King of maybe a town? King of a City? King of 3 cities or more? King of a State? King of a Country/Nation?)

The New Jerusalem – The “Glory” of Our Houses/Mansions could be determined possibly by how we have lived our life on earth in relation to Jesus/The Bible.

The Crown of Life — James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, (approved) he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Jesus Throne — (The Most Eminent of All The Blessings promised to the 7 Church’s) {To those who overcome} [resist temptation and choose/stay faithful and obey/Love Jesus] — Revelation 3:21 — To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

New Glorified Spiritual Body ::: A post about Glory

Romans 8: 16….we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Eternity/The New Heaven/New Earth — God will wipe away all tears and the former things will not be remembered nor come to mind!

2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Praying With The Spirit ~ John Bunyan ::: “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood..” (1 Peter 2:9)

by on Jul.29, 2010, under God is Love, Spiritual Growth

1. I will pray with my spirit.

There is no man nor church in the world that can come to God in prayer, but by the assistance of the Holy Spirit. “For through Christ we have access to the Father by one Spirit” (Ephesians 2:18). Therefore Paul said, “We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will” (Romans 8:26, 27). And because there is in this scripture a complete discovery of the spirit of prayer, and of man’s inability to pray without it; therefore I will in a few words comment on it.

“We.” Consider the person speaking, Paul, an apostle, the extraordinary elder, the wise master-builder, he that was taken up into paradise (2 Cor 12:4). “We do not know what we ought to pray for.” Surely everyone will admit, that Paul and his fellow apostles were able to have done any mighty work for God, yet, he says, “We do not know what we ought to pray for,” without the help and the assistance of the Spirit. Should we pray for communion with God through Christ? Should we pray for faith, for justification by grace, and a truly sanctified heart? We do not know the answer to any of these things. “For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God” (1 Corinthians 2:11).

“We do not know what we ought to pray for.” Paul said, we must pray as we ought; and this we cannot do by the skill, and cunning devices of men or angels. “We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit”; no, it must be “the Spirit HIMSELF” that helps us in our weakness; not the Spirit and man’s lusts. What man’s own brain may imagine and devise, is one thing, and what they are commanded, and ought to do, is another. Many ask and do not receive, because they ask with wrong motives; and so they never enjoy those things they pray for (James 4:3). While we are praying, God is searching the heart, examining our motives and spirit (1 John 5:14). “And he who searches our hearts knows,” that is, approves only, what is agreeable to, “the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.” (Romans 8:27) For he only hears that which is in accordance with his will, and nothing else. And it is only the Spirit that can teach us what to ask; only the Spirit is able to search every thing out, even the deep things of God.

Without the Holy Spirit, though we pray a thousand different prayers, yet we would be unable to know what to pray for, because we have a built-in weakness that makes us absolutely incapable of praying correctly. These weaknesses within us, although it is difficult to name them all, yet the following are eight key weaknesses which prevent effective praying.

Third Temple in Jerusalem

Third Temple in Jerusalem

2 Samuel 6:12 And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness. 13 And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings. 14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. 15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. 16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. 17 And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD. 18 And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.
