Surely he knew the speech would prompt the reaction that it did even before the representatives of forty countries got up and walked out on him. Didn’t he?

Dualling Covenants

There is a belief that exists within the Church that argues that because Jews have a special relationship with God, they will be welcomed into Heaven even if they have rejected Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah).

Therefore, the thinking goes, there is no need to evangelize the Jews. They’ll be saved automatically. This is known as ‘Dual Covenant’ theology. But is it Biblical? Is it valid?

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

Imagine seeing a group of firefighters polishing their engine outside a burning building with people trapped on the top floor! Nothing is wrong with cleaning a fire engine—but something is wrong with cleaning a fire engine while people are trapped in a burning building! Instead of ignoring their cries, the firefighters should have an overwhelming sense of urgency to rescue them. That’s the spirit that should be behind the task of evangelism. As I said before, only 2 percent of believers in America regularly share their faith with others.

Charles Spurgeon once said, “Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you are not saved yourself. Be sure of that.”

Do you have an effective way to share the Gospel with everyone?

Oswald J. Smith said, “Oh my friends, we are loaded down with countless church activities, while the real work of the Church, that of evangelizing and winning the lost, is almost entirely neglected.”

– lovers of their own selves, (Selfishness) People only caring about self and not others.
– covetous, (Lovers of Money)
– boasters, (Braggers, Self Superiority, Inflated Ego’s)
– proud, (Look Down on Others, Arrogance)
– blasphemers, (Taking God and Jesus name in Vain)
– disobedient to parents, (prevelant mark of the last days)
– unthankful, (Happens with Evolution Teaching)
– unholy, (no Reverence for that which is Sacred)
3 Without natural affection, (no family loyalty – Parents With Children/Children with Parents – Abortion, Divorce) trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
