SALVATION

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallow be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven, Give us this day our daily Bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Righteousness is the way!!  Not lust, not ungodliness, not unrighteousness, but righteousness, righteousness, righteousness!!!

In Salvation you receive

Justification!!!!

Which attributes Christ's righteousness!!!! To your life!!! As if you lived Christ's life!!!!!!!!!!!!! Though you didn't.

This is done By God's Grace!!!! (Undeserved Kindness!!!!)

Purely Through Faith.

You do need to bring your life into line with righteousness though  (Jesus is a righteous person :) -- through Sanctification.

Sanctification is a life-long pursuit of righteousness/holiness & the continual conforming into the image of Jesus -- To Become Holy.

For that is God's will, for all to be conformed into the image of His Son, Jesus :)  To Become Holy :)

A lot of the above ( A good part re-worked & worded )  from the words of John MacArthur -- Grace To You

"I really believe God gives to a true Christian, a desire for His Word" - John MacArthur

Let's Give The Pure Meaning of Salvation:

Here Are The Two Verses:

We Are Saved By Grace Through Faith,
                                          And Not By Works,
                                 Lest Any Man Should Boast.

                                                    And:

                               Faith without works is Dead!!!

The First Verse Simply put, equates to:

Us not being able to save our souls by anything good we do.  We cannot prove or say to God, look I am a good person, I did this or that, I helped that person or this person.

In the context of Salvation, only Jesus death on the cross can save a person's soul for Eternity, { Grace }.  We all have a problem called sin, that we are powerless to atone for on our own behalves apart from Jesus.  His blood is what forgives sin.

No amount of doing good can make us right with God or save us apart from Jesus.  ONLY Jesus can make us right with God.  His death on the cross provides us with His Blood, which cleanses us from All Sin.  Hence His blood and death provide us salvation, which is a free gift.

The Second Verse can be defined as this:

So if we say that we believe or have Faith in Jesus but do nothing in Works to prove it, in obeying what he has commanded, i.e.  feeding the poor, clothing the naked,  praying, using good words, almsgiving, etc...   then our Faith is not real.

Faith without works is Dead!!!!!

Simple as that!!!!

Grace = God's undeserved kindness towards us in saving us through the sacrifice and blood of His Son Jesus.
It costs the high price of blood to atone for sin.

Faith =  Belief in Jesus

Works = Helping people physically and spiritually.   { In Jesus Name!!! }   And even our own spiritual condition.
i.e. prayer and the fruit we bear.  Is it good fruit or not???  As far as our thoughts and acts or deeds!

Salvation like The Rapture can be a little tricky, However I think the Bible is absolutely straightforward in Saying That We Are Saved By Faith!!! And Not By Works!! But Absolutely Straightforward as well in Saying That
 Faith Without Works is Dead!!!!

There are other things written about Salvation that are noteworthy, such as:

  • All who call on the name of Jesus will be saved.
  • Jesus said when he walked the earth that His mother and brethren were those who heard the word of God and OBEYED IT!!!
  • Peter says work out your own salvation with Fear and Trembling.
  • Paul says anyone living a life of sin is doomed, I would think this goes for people who may think of themselves as someone who believes in Jesus,  but don't prove it in deed.
  • We are saved by Grace and not of works, it is the gift of God.  Salvation is a gift from God, one just needs to accept it, like opening a Gift on Christmas Morning, we don't have to pay for the gift or work for it, it is a gift, we just need to show our love and thanksgiving to God for His kindness in giving to us Eternal Life, and we are all set.  God grants us salvation by his kindness, there is no amount of work we can do to get into Heaven,  Salvation is granted to us from God, a gift, but then once we accept the gift through faith (faith is another gift from God :)  then we need to prove that our Faith in Jesus is real, by our works!  So that means you have to follow and obey Jesus :)
